Guys I'm looking for a nice slip on can myv2019 DCT Honda VFR1200X to get a nicer sound out of the 1200cc v4 engine.

Id like some recommendations on a good slip, I don't want to break the bank. Just sometimes a bit lighter, nicer looking with a nicer rumble off it.

So far I like the look of the GRmoto Muffler Titanium, the Scorpion brand mufflers and the Delkevic Mufflers

I'll dig into it the weekend, start with fuses although I'm fairly sure I tapped into the multi-plug loom thing to wire in a USB charging socket that still lights up with ignition on so I'm guessing the fuse that feeds the grips should be ok.

Ref' the Honda heated grips, I've found there's an in-line 5A fuse in the 'Heated Grip Att Kit' ref' 08T70MGH641. So that could well be blown?...here's hoping anyway. As an aside, I just took the dog for a walk and it's bloody cold!  :190:

That's reassuring. It's always a concern when you can't simply pull in the clutch lever.🤣

My DCT switched off for no apparent reason a few months back while on a ride with my pals - same thing it defaulted to neutral and just coasted to a safe place to stop. Turned the ignition off, counted to 10 and turned it back on a gain. CT started on the button and has been 100% ever since - bizarre but at least we know what happens if the engine dies without the benefit of a manual clutch.

I would say its worth trying to find the issue, ONLY if you can do it cheaply, i.e. blown fuse.  My bike came fitted with the Honda factory heated grips and to me, they are 100% disappointing.  I only ever use them on setting #5 and can barely detect any warmth on my hands, whereas the factory grips on my Yamaha Tracer can only be used at less than half power of they will seriously scorch your skin, they get VERY HOT!!
If mine quit working I would absolutely replace them with Oxford.

About a year ago I made a post on this forum about that happening to me.  I made the knucklehead mistake of leaving a rag in the airbox when cleaning the air filter.  :789:
I took the bike (DCT model) out for a ride and it eventually sucked the rag into one of the air snorkles blocking the butterfly valve from moving, causing a check engine light and the bike to sputter and shut off while in motion.
Luckily I was on a 2 lane country road with no traffic and was able to coast onto the shoulder without incident.
Apparently it defaults to neutral if the engine dies, at least that was my experience.
