Good Afternoon to all of you friends.

fist of all, sorry for my English, and more for all the silence in the forum, unfortunatelly, i've been so busy at work and home, and was almost without time to peacefully breath.

About the Mod on the fork, im not so technical as yours eminencies and high priests  :001: :001:, i've replaced the collar or spacers (i dont know the right name of it) because, in fact, i could'nt assemble the wheel with the original spacers now. (so i've grinded it untill it fit). Beside this, ive only put a metal piece with drilled holes to hold the F front fender. beside this, as i've told before, the chromed part of forks are from X, only the bottom, the black part are from F, and all its belongings (Calipper, etc). Note: im usind the X ABS sensor. because of all that, as you gyus know, im using also the F engine, so when riding, i must disable the TC, coz when i speed up like too fast or suddenly and it comes on and start blinking, only stops cuting the power of the bike when i go under 20 km/h.

    Thanks for the reply.

Having used different spacers (due to the fork spacing difference), that would place the calipers offset from the disc by 5mm each side. How did you match those? Did you grind/machine the calipers to allow the disc to fit off-centre? Or move the disc somehow?

BTW, a 55 slot ABS ring would make the std X ABS and TC work correctly. Unfortunately, I've not found a 55 slot ring. I'll probably get it made to suit.

    Hy there Friends!

BikenG, unfortunatelly, here in my country, the spares and aftermarket parts are extremelly rare and difficult, so we need to import everything, i thin even the air we breath its imported.  :001: :001: :001:

With That, on the installation of the callipers, i put it on its place, and put the screws, but tight only with hand, just to stay on its place, then i bleed the system, after that, i hold the brake lever with that plastic thing with teeths (i don't know its name in english), and only then i'll tight the callipers screws to torque value. Believe or not, its will drag for 1 or 2 minutes or less, and then, the phisics will do its work and put the pistons on its right place. (it will be not centered, youll see the pistons from the oil entrance side, will be more in than the other side, but when you brake, they will do its work). I advice to don't forget the spacers on the calipper.

Thanks for the explanation. I understand that calipers will work even if not centred over the disc. I am surprised they can be 5mm off-centre though. If only we could obtain a 320mm disk, with 110mm PCD 5 bolt mounting and 7.5mm offset, the caliper problem would be eliminated. Unfortunately, they don't appear to exist. Might have to make some.  :002:
