    Here's my "garage" - it's "open-plan!"  :008:

Have had some rain this morning as you can see, but it's brighter now (although cold) so I'm going to trundle over to my habitual cafe in an hour or so with the heated grips on!

The eagle-eyed amongst you may spot some mud on the lower part of the swingarm from my recent adventure. Must get the bike to a jet-wash and blast out all those nooks and crannies.

    Plenty of air circulation then!
Does it live under any sort of cover, and presumably its plastered in ACF50?

I put a cover on briefly but it wasn't a very good one - too flimsy. I need to get a decent quality one, perhaps an Oxford, if someone can recommend. (Any that I've tried in the past seemed to make things worse by trapping moisture underneath and promoting rust!)

No ACF50 yet, I have bought a bottle of the stuff but not got round to getting on my hands and knees and spraying the bike.  :006:

After doing some research, I bought this one for my trip around Scotland earlier this year. Can't speak for its long term performance / durability but it did the job very well for that little outing.

I appreciate that Dave, that looks good. I might spring for the posher model (Ultimate Rain) with the elasticated base and heatproof panels/soft lining.

It seems its rival is the Oxford Stormex which doesn't look as nice to me.

Does it definitely need an XXL and not an XL? (I feel the same way when I buy clothes.  :003:) XXL is what they recommend for the likes of the GoldWing and HD Road King.  :006:
I don't have panniers or topbox on it while it's parked outside. Looks like the XL Tall (eg BMW GS1200) is better, but I'd have to order it from JDC (I don't see any on fleaBay).

My CT's dimensions are about L235 W920 H155 (screen up).

Hi Hound, yes, I bought the XL tall, which is just right sizewise.

    Cheers.

For some reason when I tried your link yesterday it was broken and I somehow ended up on a seller with an XXL. No idea how, because today it works and takes me to an XL Tall.

Thanks again for the clarification!  :138:

     :028: :028:

Had a nice breakfast at the Road King Cafe on A5 near Brownhills i think it is.
That set us up for the day.

We had a good moooch around the bike show yesterday, some nice bikes, unfortunately not that many on the Honda stand, but i do still think the NT1100 in white looks great, my wife wouldn't know if i changed my CT for one of them.  :745: :047: :745:

The weather played a great part in the ride home, it persisted down, just as we were leaving the indoor bike park, it stated to hammer down and didn't stop all the way up the M42, 2 or 3 Junctions, then onto the A38/A5. Road totally flooded at times it was that heavy, all added to the bottom clenching moments.  :789:

The 3 of us all had an unintended detour on the journey home, but we all got home safe. That's the main thing.

Good day, great company and a good ride, even in the wet.

Just cleaned the beast again, cant wait till the next outing.  :028: :028:

Ride safe all and stay healthy.
