They removed the cover, carved out some of the original seat foam (with an electric carving knife!) then replaced it, to the original profile, with a softer memory foam. They then put the original cover back on and it still looks like the stock seat.
The result was a very comfy seat and a slightly lower riding position as I sink into the seat by 1" more. I'm sure they can profile the memory foam to ease your coccyx issue.
They are very approachable - give them a ring.

    Thanks Potter.  I'll do that.

Elite did my seat in 2019, it was instantly better for both pilot and pillion. Don’t expect a shiny showroom if you go there though!  :008:

Thanks Murphy.  Thats two for Elite then!

Considering its a lot cheaper than anew seat and they do the "while you wait" thing, It strikes me as a good first attempt.  At least if it's no good then I haven't blown a fortune.

Well we never regretted it. His ‘site’ is, ummmm, how can I put this…..disgraceful! It would put a scrap merchant to shame, but his work is neat and tidy. There’s a campsite next door where you can get a cuppa.

A mate got his BMW F900XR seat done at this place in Newport, Wales - less than £100 and an excellent job.
