Hi !, from the North -West of England
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:43:51 PM »
I have to admit that I have been hanging around this site  since the Crosstourer was unveiled at the Birmingham NEC show . After a short association with a GS.I fealt the nead to return to the Honda fold ,my first being a 1959 Benly 125cc super sports,,almost 40 years later there came a Blackbird(wow) then KTM adventures , the GS and finally my order is in for a Crosstourer  DCT version which is hopefully coming for 1May ..... Having eagerly read the repors of you lucky European (well parts of Europe) owners ,it would be abit of an understatement to say that I am  about as excited as an 'old um ' could be :046:!!First trip is Germany and southern  Austria.  so expecting great things from the DCT on the passes ..... Great to have joined the group....

:400: :400: :400:  It must feel good to finally come out of the closet!  :745: :745: :745:

If you've been watching for a while, you'll know I'm only joking.

Hearty congratulations on the Crosstourer, the DCT's a dream to ride, you won't want to stop. :305: :305: :305:

Mine should be here next week - with DCT as well, I'm counting down the hours!  :082:

The North West - big bit, that is - where exactly? I'm a Sandgronian, a Blackpool lad.

Maybe I'll see you in the Alps for a cold one!  :031:

Thanks folks for the kind words,it's certainly going to be a hard 5 weeks waiting , it,l be worth it.. Doc ,very perceptive of you ,I live just outside that other  'famous' holiday resort we have just had a week of beautiful sunsets ,with this high pressure, looking across the Bay.... I,m not a 'sand grown 'un ' having only lived in the area for 40 years!!!!!!Will let you know our route ,later but first night is Klotten on the Mosel on the 5 june, after the ferry from Hull.. Great news about your DCT .....

Hey, Mister B, we're heading south on the 9th June for a week. You're a few days ahead of us.  :152:
We go past Klotten (a few clicks away) on day 1 and 8. Through the Eifel and Black Forest, Swiss Alps, Dolomites, Austria Alps, Black Forest, the Eifel and home.

3500kms in eight days.  :062:

We should both be lucky with the passes - thay're usually all open by then. Have you planned a route?  :305:
