dct was indeed updated for 2014 model, but was refined again for 2016, so you may be after a 2016 on model

Yes, I'm pretty sure the final iteration of the DCT gearbox came in 2016, which had D (drive), S1, S2 and S3. Mine was registered in 2020 so that's the one I've got.

Quick newbie question about the 3 Sport modes:  I am in the process of buying a 2016 XD-G which according to the model derivation makes it a 2016 model year.  It has the adjustable screen and was first regged in September of 2016.  However, I'm unclear about the 3 Sport modes - how does one initiate them?  It's pretty obvious how to move from regular Drive to Sport but I can't see if or how I can select any more than just the one sport mode.  I'm no newbie to DCT just to the CT version.

    Any suggestions?

    TIA

Basically just push the "S" Button 3 times, small 3 bar graph on the speedo...here's a more Comprehensive Explanation cut and Pasted off here...

" The operating procedure of the DCT gearbox will be in the owners manual of a DCT bike with 3 sport modes. The 3 modes can be set with the engine running BUT NO THROTTLE. Press 'D' button for 'S' mode then hold in and select which sport mode you require. You cannot change the selected sport mode whilst riding the bike i.e. with throttle opened and once selected this level is kept irrespective of the ignition being switched or changing out of sport mode. Each sport mode increases the revolutions for each gear with 1 bar being the lowest. Does the sport 3 modes make a difference? That's subjective but I ride mostly in manual mode so the difference to me is minimal but for those who use sport mode then the difference is notable "
