Standard windscreen
« on: March 18, 2012, 03:32:43 PM »
The standard windscreen looks pretty good but for a proper windshield it's not very useful. In standard position the wind blows me right into the "eyes" and therefore produces a lot of wind noise around the helmet. Adjusting the screen on the higher level makes it a little better but not satisfactory for a longer tour or such. So i'm sure going to opt for the higher windscreen from the accessories market.

I thought the same Ojo, when I tried the demo bike. On the higher position, I got a lot of wind noise around my helmet visor (Shoei XR1100). I like to ride with my visor open when I can (touring mode), so the taller screen is a must for me.

It's a pity that you can't adjust the screen without using tools; although when I've found the right position for the taller screen, I won't be moving it again anyway. I think the taller screen (126mm higher than standard) at the list price of €159 in Germany is OK too.

I suppose you want to take one made for CT that sure would look better than some universal screen. But aftermarket accessoires manufacturers will bring on more variety after a while.

We may have a look at MRA motorcycle windshields http://www.mra.de/de/home

Crosstourer is already listed there but not available yet. I sent them an enquiry.

Noted on above. Appreciate if you could revert their reply. I thought of getting the available useful parts first, simply install when bike arrives. Most important parts that i could think of for now are Bash plate, Crash bar & Wind shield.

Dosent matter when i get the bike. Most important that im getting it... LOL

Just got a reply from MRA Team - that it will be at least 6 weeks from now, before they go into production with a CT screen.
