Anyone near Swansea?

Hello Boyz 'n' Gurlz

I have now sold my Yam 900 Tracer, which I didn't like very much, and am on the lookout for a VFR1200X.

There is one at M & P motorcycles in Swansea, and I was wondering whether anyone local to them could go and have a look at it and maybe even take it out for a demo ride. I saw it briefly a few weeks back and I know about the broken handguard, but I would be interested in someone that knows the breed possibly taking it out for a spin and telling me whether it rides OK or not.

I guess mick9879's is sold then.

On the Swansea bike, did you notice the evidence of a drop on the crankcase cover and crash bar,  and the missing lower cowl?

This one's £1200 more but looks in better condition; it has Honda panniers (though strangely no topbox) and 21k miles.

I posted in the bikes for sale section, CT for sale in charles hurst honda belfast, I had a quick look at it last Wednesday, 1755 miles on it, 3 boxes, 2017. It is a manual, heated grips, adjust screen, Honda engine bars, £9300

I saw the evidence of a drop, though it didn't look anything drastic beyond someone perhaps having to put the bike down because they found it too heavy. I didn't notice the cowl, but don't know what I'm looking for. Where is that?

M & P have offered to do the major 32k service as part of the deal which is definitely a draw. I'm not fussy about a few cosmetic marks - my bikes are workhorses, not garage queens.

I'll have a look at those. I have an option to buy a 15k 2019 manual model (yes, I'm after a manual) for about £7300, so keeping an eye on that too.

Looks OK, but that's a lot of cash.

As much as us folk know what a good bike the CT is, the majority don't see it that way and these bikes tend to take root in the showroom. The M&P bike I'm looking at has been in their showroom for more than a year!
