    What are these bolts for?

    Hi all

Can anyone tell me what the two bolts on the top of the engine cover are for? Mine are rusty and I'd like to change them but I'd like an idea of what they do before I reach for the tools.

    Thanks

    John

I don't see them referred to in the manual but looking at a picture of the inside of the cover it looks like they must be blanking bolt for these oil passages.  So I suggest that it should be safe to remove and replace along with new copper washers

I would just clean the rust off with a small brass or copper wire brush and paint them with aluminium paint.
