Good morning mad-dawg! Thanks for the tip about debris getting under the deflectors. I haven't fitted mine yet as the lower half of my Givi Airflow screen gets in the way - I'll have to cut some slots in the deflectors to make them fit, as another forum member did (like this):

I plan to put some helicopter tape, or similar, under the deflectors to protect the paintwork.

I wondered whether Gareth had got your crankcase cover as I've heard no update! Hope there was a happy ending.

    Cheers!   :031:

Ooh that is interesting, I had forgotten about that issue when I fitted mine with the Givi screen, it just came back to me  :008: lots of grumpy muttering about things not fitting.
My fix was to use longer screen bolts and space the givi screen away from the brackets with a couple of thick tap washers. From memory I only needed to space the bottom 2 fixings but it gave enough clearance for the GP side deflectors.
It does tilt the screen towards the rider slightly but if that was an issue you could add washers and bolts to the top 2 fixings.

I already have 15mm spacers under the lower mounts on the screen, because I learned from my ST1300 Pan that creating a larger airflow space at the screen bottom while at the same time tilting the top of the screen closer to the rider worked well.

I'll have to turn to my engineering consultants, Bodgitt & Scarper.

Thankfully he's now retired, but I used to have a dentist called Mr Payne!
