I didn't like the riding position - I felt the bars were too close to my body. I don't like the riding modes, and I find the mirrors in an odd position.

It's also pretty quick and light - I feel it's faster than I want in a bike. I prefer something more substantial and comfortable. The Tracer has been a great success for Yamaha though, but I didn't gel with it. As I approach my very late 50's I want something that I feel comfortable riding through traffic. I'm not used to something so light and quick. When I rode the CT, I knew within 5 minutes it was what I needed. I spent the next 90 minutes covering motorway, in town riding and cross country and it felt great.

I also own a Tracer 900 and will not part with it for any reason, lovely bike.  I like having 2 different bikes that serve different purposes - quick, agile and sporty vs. planted, muscular and more relaxed.  I also like having the option of manual vs. DCT depending on my mood for the day.  :152:
