Couple of issues from a Crosstourer newbie

Hi all, I've recently purchased a 2020 registered Crosstourer Highlander DCT second hand.....but with just 125 miles on the clock!
I am extremely happy with it but there are a couple of issues that I'd like to ask about if I may....
    1. The left side hand grip is slightly loose and I can't see any obvious way to stop it rotating slightly. There is a small screw on the underside where the grip heater wires make contact with the grip. I've tightened that but it didn't make any difference. Is there anything else to try....or is this a common trait?
    2. The rear brake light red plastic cover is slightly loose such that it can move from its central position by about 5mm up / down and side to side. Nothing is broken and the rear / brake lights work. Again, is this just my bike or is it a common 'feature'?
    Many thanks in anticipation.

Do you mean the rubber grip is rotating on the bar? If so it's probably not been installed with any / enough grip glue, or they've not used the proper stuff, some cheap brands can soften up when the heat is turned on. If I were you I'd get the supplying dealer to sort it out. As you know they are a big heavy bike, you dont want that grip rotating if you are trying to push the bike around whilst you're off the bike.
As for the brake light mine has the same play in it.

Yes....that's it - the rubber grip is rotating around the handlebar. I had the grip heaters on today for the first time....I wonder if that's what's caused it. The bike is under warranty so I'll take it back to my local dealer. Thanks for your help!

Yeah that's probably the reason. Honda grip glue is designed to deal with the heat so whoever's fitted them might not have used it.
