I do have the manual but i'm still a bit stuck. Wondering how to replace it with the least removal of tupperware. ;)

I've never tried this but it looks like you have to take a fair bit off just to get to the turn signal connectors. Rear side cowls off (the plastic bits with slots for luggage), then the rear carrier, then the tailpiece cowl that covers the electrics. As for the turn signal itself, you might get away with unbolting it from the rear fender without removing the whole shebang!

Sorry, I don't know what made me think it was a rear turn signal. It seems I had a senior moment (more like a senior half-hour).  :087:

Looks much easier than the rear. Remove the inner fairing panel (some hefty clips and five of those black plastic push pin thingies). You should then apparently have access to the turn signal mounting and wiring connection.

You could remove the fairing panel too if it gave better access. There are plenty of posts about that, and videos on YouTube. Easy peasy.

I'm struggling a bit with this.  If someone can clear up a few questions I would be very grateful.  I've got a 2013 model if that makes any difference.

Having read as much as I can find about the front indicator replacement there seems to be two schools of thought.  One is that all the front including the headlight needs to come off to replace the indicators, the other is that it's just a few clips and poppers.  I'm happy taking the side panels off (I've just changed the air filter) but there is nothing on YouTube or anywhere else about removing the inner panels.

    Specifically

    1) The inner visor is the the part that obscures the nut that hold the indicator onto the bike.  Has anyone removed the inner visor?  If so can they describe how it's done?  It looks like two peices of velcro and then disengage three clips but I've put as much force as I dare on it and no luck so far.

    2) After removing the side panels, what else needs to be done to remove the inner panels?

    Thanks for any help

    John

I haven't tried it myself, but the manual indicates that you'd stop short of removing the headlamp assembly - on a
pre-2016 model (fixed windshield) at least.
