Who uses braces for motorcycle trouser?

    Hey there,

I've finally bit the bullet and treated myself to a new Rev'it! Sand 4 H2O jacket with Rev'it! Offtrack trousers after riding with my old Richa/Rev'it! gear for 6+ years which literally fell apart and were sewn up by me over and over again for the past two years.

Now, the Rev'it! Offtrack is longer than my previous Rev'it trousers due to me riding with shorter boots for the past 4 years. Trousers fit me well, but while standing, the crotch tends to drop more than I'm used too and since I tend to walk around all day in my biker outfit, I wonder if bracers are going to do anything about this 'problem'.

Any pro's and con's I should take in consideration before buying bracers? I DON'T want those full sized ones. I'd rather ride with mesh all year than seal myself up and sweat like a pig, hence the brand's choice due to a lot of ventilation options and trousers not being so thick and warm.

Trousers has long and short bayonet zipper attached. I don't have to connect jacket and trousers together so I can sacrifice a zipper if needed.

Thanks to anyone who can share his/her experience! :028:

I use them on my Hein Gerike kit and my Halvarssons for convenience as I tend to wear my work clothes underneath when commuting. The Halvarssons ones are good, they come with strong clips and are adjustable so they will fit a wide range of other makes.

I use a pair of Motrax braces. They're fairly old so perhaps they don't make them any more but there are lots of equivalents out there (see pic for example). The bands are 50mm wide. I find they're not strong enough to lift the crotch area up but they do stop the trousers falling down!

Rev'it do "Strappers" that will zip onto the back and slot into little velcro pouches on the front of your kacks.......I use a set on my Horizon 2 and Airwave 3 kacks.

I wouldn't be without braces after using them for a few years.
