The front plugs are supposedly an absolute pig to get at, lots of stuff to remove to get at them. Have you got the original Honda plug spanner as it's really tight for access. Dont know what your mileage is with the bike being a few years old now have you thought about doing a valve check while you have everything moved out of the way?  Exhausts pretty easy to adjust by nut, but for inlets the cams would need to come out,  dont often need adjustment though.

Thanks for the reply I am lead to believe valve's have been done OR checked 15000 km ago and all good. I had Varadero's before the CT and serviced the myself without any problems. Didn't see any videos online RE: Servicing the CT that's why I put up the question

That's good news. Everything else is dead easy. If you change the rear differential fluid have it leant over on the side stand to get the fill level right. CTs appreciate fresh brake fluid as well, old dirty fluid can cause issues with the abs one or two have had it lock up.

Take care when doing the shaft oil change, the fill screw gets broken really easily. The manual states an 8Nm torque which probably equals tightening really light and leaving the o-ring to do the rest.
