I got them at some point. I found them really good on paved roads. I never really had any issues, no matter how fast I rode, so basically I never reached their limits. I am also doing some gravel roads and always felt a bit insecure with them in those conditions but I never actually had an incident or a slip that I didn't expect so it was probably more of a mental thing than a reality.
I've changed them for a Mitas E07+ to cover more for the off-road part.
The only negative that comes to my mind, the back got squared a bit too fast, although I admit using them too much on the highway and in the city so I can't really blame them, still I think it happened a bit too fast. Otherwise, I think they are really good so if you ride in that 90/10 or 80/20 I think you are doing the right choice.

Thank you Ciprian for the feedback. I had the same problem (rear tire) whith the CONTITRAIL ATTACK3. I'll think about it.

    Hi,
Just a note as this reminds me when the first generation "NEXT" came out, We all bought them as the original Tourance was so good ( at the time). Anyhow, they wore away in a very short time and Metzeler admitted there was a problem and withdrew the tyre from the market very quickly and relaunched a modified version which was better for mileage.
In the age of forums, bad news travels quickly and I think it damaged reputation of the "NEXT" tyre, especially when Michelin was having great success with the early "Pilot road" at that time.
Wonder if it's the same story with the "NEXT 2" ?

    Cheers
    Tom

I only noticed the Road 6 was out a week ago! seems strange they are launched so soon, the Road 5 is not out that long.
I have a Metzeler 01 roadtec rear fitted at the moment and find it sure footed, pure road though!
No cheap options available now, prices have risen sharply.

Best of luck on your selection
