Hi, New Member - looking to purchase a Honda crosstourer early this year, already have a few bikes but after touring Wales last year on my CB1300 and other lads on adventure bikes decided I needed a change !
Choosing Honda as it was the first bike my Dad got me at 6 years old ! LOL !(Honda XR75)
Looked at other makes and models, most of my mates have GS1250's, but think the 1200X is the right bike for me.
Went to Doncaster to buy one yesterday but even though its on their website and autotrader it had been sold before Xmas !
Any help and info is very welcome !
    Great Forum !
    Thanks
    Rich  :047:

Hi Rich, and welcome. Not too much doing on the forum lately, for good reason, the CT is incredibly reliable. If you want a reasonably quick, superbly built tall tourer you wont go far wrong with one, I'm on my second now. As with every bike it does have compromises, they are very heavy until you get moving, suspension can be a little crude and the seat is a plank but for me these are all forgivable because of the many plus points. I dont mind not having a load of electronic bells and whistles as the basics are done well, less to go wrong.

Welcome Richard! As BB says, this is not a busy forum but there's lots of useful info to be found with the "search" facility. If you look in "bikes for sale" you'll find one with upgraded suspension, owned by bazza950, that might suit your needs.

Look on the Crosstourers Facebook pages. There's a desperate owner selling due to job loss. Less than four grand for a highlander model!! High miles but nothing to bother a big V4!
