I haven't spotted any discussion here on Powerbronze's rad guard, other than its looks, but I have thrown caution to the winds and ordered one. With a bit of luck it will arrive soon and I will have an excuse to go out and play with - ah, I mean
perform essential maintenance on
the bike.

I was all set to get technical on rad guards - some are alloy, some stainless, some plastic! It was short circuited as i got a secondhand R&G stainless one .But its a bit like insurance claims -you havent any idea how effective it is unless a stone/ bird/ branch decides to test it. mine just zip tied on and made me feel a bit more secure -but really who knows?

I won't be taking the bike offroad to any extent - I just felt that the radiator appears rather more exposed than it is on the bikes I've had for the last 20 years (ST1100/ST1300). I remembered the plastic "honeycomb" guard on my old CX500 and thought the Powerbronze fell into the same category of protection - if any!
