    Hi All,

Sorry to bring up an old ABS problem that seems to be an issue on these machines.
Have only recently purchased my VFRX 1500k's ago. cut long story short, have the same issue as many other owners regarding the ABS light coming on, then ECU/engine light, no speedo, limp mode etc.
Issue starting approx 3 weeks ago.
I have already read most of the old posts regarding this matter and check over suggested items, even to new battery. systems in short below, items checked or done from issue starting.
    > left bike for week no battery connected,
    > checked all uses,
    > battery in bike at purchased dropped volts over the week, so replaced,
    > bleed total brake system rear to front and removed a crap load of air in system, although brakes worked fine prior with good feel, just yucky old fluid change, never let reservoirs go below low whilst bleeding? Bike had been stored for 8yrs with little use, hence sale from previous owner, so I thought best to change all vital fluids.
    > Have also done exhaust change although no issue with ABS wire damage along underside of shaft drive to rear sensor??
Anyways, connected new battery and switched the ignition on - no flashing ABS light, yahoo I thought. All looked good, although remembered in an earlier post member mention how exposed the rear cable was. Switch ignition off. Slipped some corrugated flex over the wire and loosly Zip tied. Turned ignition back on and, bugger that pesty ABS light starts flashing again.

fault possible in the rear speed sensor, anyway of checking them with a volt meter to see in they are performing correctly other than gap to receiver wheel.

Only thing I have also noticed is after ignition is turned on, I hear the std. fuel pump pressure up, but also hear another electrical noise, quite faint near front of tank, don't know what it is. Your thoughts please.

    thanks guys,

Have now done some more investigation on the rear speed sensor cable. Found some electrical tape wrapped over a nick on the wire at the last wire holding bracket  :027:.
So have done a better job at insulating, then corrugated flex the length and re-routed the cable. Haven't connected battery as yet cause won't be able to test ride till tomorrow, hopefully it resets. Obviously will need to purchase a new cable. x2 pics below. Funny how the 1st pick shows the nick in the cable with the tire rotation arrow pointing at it, pure luck  :745:.
