    Hello folks,

Can anyone with any relatively recent experience of travelling around the Norway (particularly the fjords between Stravanger and Trondheim) advise if the ferries are "turn up and ride" kinda ferries, or if booking is recommended ??

    Many thanks in advance.

    Wack

For motorcycles is always a space.
I'm going to Norway in July and i just will check if that's also the case for the ferry from Hirsthals to Kristiansand but the rest i won't.

    Hello All,

Can I ask which websites etc. people use for finding accommodation, and which might be best to use for Norway, apart from the obvious Airbnb ?

    Many thanks in advance.

On my trips i useally use booking.com for "luxury" accomodation and maps.me or iOverlander (integrated in the Garmin XT) for campsites and wildcamp spots.

Plus Norway has many log cabins that are cheap to use. Also a great way to meet fellow travellers.
They can be basic but some are really nice and either way are dry :-)

I also will look into that.
The ferry is booked for the 9th of July from Eemshaven (NL) to Kristiansand but this trip i will take on with my T7. When spring arrives i will put my CT up for sale together with my XT660Z.
The trip is going from Kristiansand to the Noth Cape and back over a piece of the TET Finland to get to St Petersburg and from there via Tallinn, Riga, Gdansk and Berlin back home.
But i have to spend at least 8 nights in Norway so probably i will end up in one or a few of those places  :018:
