    Leaking fork seal at 17k

Typical fork seal leak right leg only.
Purchased a seal kit and the driver tool.

Before replacement seal I decided to try the seal cleaner tool like this one:

    https://sealmate.net/products/seal-mate

NO connection to the tool other than a user.  A fair amount a black grit and dirt came out.  For now the seal is not leaking.

    Hi Showkey,
Can you check if you have pitting of the chrome on the bottom of the leg please. I have noticed pitting especially on the inside facing the wheel ( never gets cleaned during washes). They are very tiny pits but there. I don't think the seal goes down close to the area.
A few UK owners have issues with pitting and I was wondering if they ride through winter as the UK salt that is spread on frosty roads seems quite harsh/ corrosive.
    Tom

No pitting ……but…….my bikes never see salt or winter riding.  I live in 5 month winter but the bikes are stored.

It used to be common for a bikes that were constantly parked on their side stand to lose at least one seal.
Don't know whether that is still the case.

I've always kept bikes parked up on a centre stand until I lowered the Tourer and now can't easily do so, so
    maybe I'll find out!

Mine started leaking at 16K.  Did the springs while they were apart
