Sadly I have had to sell my lovely CT..a series of health issues including throat cancer - which I won - and osteo arthritis - which I'm losing - has meant the bike's weight has just become a bit of a struggle. Such a shame as it was an awesome machine.
So I pick up my replacement on Saturday. I've gone for a BMW S1000XR which weighs in at 228 kg fully fuelled!
Bought the 2018 sport se model which during the test ride thankfully showed no signs of the infamous vibrations that have apparently affected some of the earlier models.
It seems quite a civilised machine... happy to pootle about in lower speed limit areas but like a bat out of hell when the mood takes you.
Thanks to everyone who has made contributions to this forum. I have found it a mine of useful information especially Veejay's famous suspension settings which transformed the ride and handling of my 2012 CT.
Good luck to everyone and happy riding!
