Does your engine 'tick' once warm?

I've tried a search for 'tick' and it brought up 28 pages so I'll just ask away....does your engine have a faint ticking noise? Mine is silent until a few mintes after start up then I hear it and it remains constant. Doesn't sound like it's anything sinister but it would be good to know it's a normal engine noise. Bike has 22,600 ish miles on it.

Thought it was just expansion noises as it warms up, bit like your radiator and pipes when you put the heating on/off at home.

Mine does it as it heats up, I tracked it down to the thermal expansion of the head pipes and catalyst.

My does a bit in warm up fase, it is more to notis that when colder temp!
Now in sommer i do not hear it!
When worm the enging sings only!

It's an engine noise, like a (very) faint tap/tick....
