It was an intense, but very rewarding ride! 2700 km's in 5 days. From The Netherlands through Germany straight south towards Austria, over the Grossglockner Alpine Road, into Italy, over the Gardena , Stelvio and Gavia passes, back over the Gavia and Stelvio towards Austria, but the Stelvio was closed due to a cyclist match. So we had a d-tour through Switzerland.

The original plan was to from Grossglockner, to Triglav National Park in Slovenia, and from Gavia back through Switzerland, but Covid-19 quarantine rules prohibited it. We still has a blast!!

    Enjoy

    Thanks Ron.
I just changed my last 2 days.
Was going from Bled over the Großglockner but after your movie i thought the Timmelsjoch would be more of my liking. Also planned a stop at Aupa on my way from Bled to the Timmelsjoch.
The last day is just a transit day like the first day but the of course had to connect to the new second last day.
I leave the 28 of August for a 7500km trip in 3 weeks.

Oof, if you can, go Timmelsjoch and then Grossglockner, both are worth it. I had massive fog on the northern side on Grossglockner, so can't really say how it looks like over there  :789: other side was cool. Stelvio is a must, and while you're there, about 30 min south is the Gavia pass. High up, Norway style mountain pass.

Aupa was a cool stop, a 2 km minor offroad-ish road towards a couple of mountains (google maps: 46,4844663, 13,2532668). The road it's connected too, SP112, is also nice. Super tight corners! I wanted to do some more offroad, but my friend is not really experienced (or into it) and had road tyres on, so we kept it to packed gravel roads. Passo Di Gavia had some cool looking trails though...  :006:

I generally liked all roads in Italy ;). Hopefully in the near future I'll return on a T7  :028:

Stelvio i already did last year when the trip i do now was not possible.
And no, it's not possible to do the other passes with the 7500km in three weeks already
