Accessorise it !
« on: February 08, 2012, 09:31:05 AM »
Like most of you guys I am waiting for my new toy.
For the time being I am thinking about what to add on it.  Of course Honda is supplying few items, but we may expect manufacturer such as Givi, Kappa, ... to provide accessories for this new model.  I propose to use this topic to concentrate all the ressources available.

I for myself ordered the bike just "naked" ... as it is. I will fit my good old Touratech panniers on it. You are right there manak other manufacturers sure will bring up many accessories pretty soon i suppose .... that is also what they say in german forum.

Its a good bet that other Manufacturer will produce lots of cool add ons for the XTourer.
Like Gio said, at the Milan motor show, GIVI did take measurements of the bike......
Theres only few stuffs that we meed Custom for any bike; side panniers & TC brackets, bash plate, crash bar wind screen and maybe wind deflector. Other than tha, its all already on the shelf.
I do hope there will be many designs for the crash bar. The one that Honda comes up with seens not protective enaugh......

I read on the net somebody speaking about optional spoiler to extend legs protection.  But Honda does not speak about it.  Somebody has an idea ?

ojo will your bike come with the centre stand as standard or is the stand an optional extra.
Mind you, with the bike having a shaft drive and no chain to lube do we need a centre stand.

Hi Strider, The centre stand is an option. I've ordered one for two reasons; to save space in the garage and to help when cleaning.

Remind me, what's a chain?  :745: :745: :745:
