This is probably like asking a Rolex dealer for a new submariner but yes, I will pay a fair price for a decent condition Touratech or Corbin seat for my Red/black CT - if anyone’s got one for sale.

    Many Thanks! D

Haggetty The seat choice is quite extensive and it seems to be (a) buy another or (b) get yours redone. I have had seats redone on several bikes -why can't they get it right? My mate has a new 900 Triumph -same issue.

One thing we should have on this forum is a definitive list of mods -that have a positive feenback so any member can see what the consensus is.
    We all want
best tyre choice- best seat - brake pads - lights- screens
It would save a lot of repeated topics if any member could go to an index -chose an article they want to get- and see what members have to say.
    anyone agree?   :784:

I wholeheartedly agree with the idea but when forum members can’t even agree on which engine oil should be used (though it’s specified in the manual), it is a forlorn hope I fear!

A lot of this stuff is highly subjective.

Well, I managed to bag myself a Touratech Dri-ride seat but in an unusual way!

I was perusing bike trader and spotted a CT for sale at HGB Honda in Ruislip.
It had the Touratech seat fitted so I contacted them and offered a swap for my seat and £200. They agreed so everyones a winner!

Pity I had to ride 200 miles in the appalling rain to get it but hey ho!

The ride back was a bit more comfy. Seat is firm but no hotspots!

    Thank you sir!
    It was worth the soaking!

I had to buy a pair of new dry gloves at the dealer as it was simply impossible to get my saturated hands into my wet gloves!

My new, admittedly cheap Oxford waterproof gloves remained waterproof only for about 15 minutes! Shocking. I couldn’t stop to phone the missus on the way back otherwise I’d have had to ride the rest of the way bare handed!

Ive two carrier bags full of  "cheap" gloves in the garage. Cost totaling several times the price of the first pair Goretex gloves i bought from Hein Gericke (Yes thats how old they are) and i still use them as my back up.

I hope at least your backside was happy on the ride home.

It was happier indeed, I didn't realise that the seat was the 'high' version. I'd probably have preferred the standard height but I can't say I noticed much difference to be honest. I can still 'flat foot' the bike when stationary.

    Glove hunt starts now!

And another vote for Hein Gericke. My Goretex (not very well cared for) boots are still working well!
