Probably no use to anyone but before they go in the skip does anyone want the pitted fork tubes that I have just replaced.

    (See thread; https://www.crosstourer.com/index.php/topic,8834.msg82299.html#msg82299)

They are otherwise straight and in good condition and could easily be rechromed.

These are Free to collect (Warrington, UK) or can be posted for a small amount (approx. £10) UK only.

I am also a bit puzzled but my thinking is -my set have to go back to Honda as part of the deal, so that gives me a pair to play with.I intend to get them throughly checked out and if they are ok for reconditioing /re-chroming I may simple get them chromed as a spare set . Maxton might want them - or somebody else. we all know know that the Honda finish isnt long lasting!
to give you an example a farmer I know had a big cog wheel sticking up out of the ground -obviously not getting any better but made to be left exposed to weather, like old farm stuff used to be. Gordon why are you keeping that thing I asked? Well he said that's part of a horse driven belt drive -maybe used to drive a big saw or similar ,and one day someone will see it and want it! This is guy who heard that a local farm was coming up for sale- he drove his old landrover down and then said " I hear you are wanting to sell- how much?" .They said " Oh it going on with Bla Bla agents " at which point he got out his cheque book and simply wrote out a cheque !
So I think some of his skill rubbed off on me -I buy stuff that could be useful - my "trade" is dealing in Rayburns and Agas which we re-purpose ( gas to burn wood and  oil to burn electric) so you never know!
