    Word of Warning re Radiator

Just passed MOT with no advisories - not bad for 56000 miles

First run out today.... 70 miles - radiator chucking water out - yet again - 3rd time!

    Bottom right corner this time.

Thankfully K-Seal (highly recommended) sorted it in 2 minutes having spent an hour stripping all the panels off.

That's 3 occasions its happened now and on each occasion its always been at an outside corner.

Conclusion?  A curved radiator doesn't sit well with a flat rad guard.  Mine is being removed in the morning and chucked in the bin!

Good going on the mileage there Bert.  :028:  :020:

New rad guard time then, no problem here with a R&G. (Famous last words  :008: )

    Is the R&G one curved?

I think I may put a washer/spacer on the rad guard before I bin it to try and keep distance between the guard and the rad itself.  Its the 4 corner sections that appears to cause the problem through direct contact and rubbing (ooo errr missus!)

The guard I have actually clips to the rad itself - this maybe part of the reason for the repeated failure.

TBH after the 3 failures, I think it going to depart to that great rad guard graveyard in the sky!

I'd rather run the risk of a stone being flung up than risk a 4th failure

92k/km without a problem and without a radguard.
The fenda extanda does a good enough job to leave the radiator exposed for the full cooling job.
