Hi all, my name is Goofy64 and I have had a CT highlander for 2 years after getting too old for sports bikes. Brilliant machine though. Hope to get some good info from other members and be part of the group. :788. Cheers

another local -we will all have to have a meet at the Raven on a Thursday night -on Whitchurch by pass. Usually get riders "down" from Liverpool,"up" from Wolverhampton and the staff do a cracking meal ,or drinks etc as you want. :400:

Welcome Goofy .......That’s sounds like a plan Bazza. I went to the Raven on Saturday for the first time this year but not on the CT , went on CCM instead . Took the CT out last weekend and again on Thursday to work. Took the long way home.  :046:

Good to hear from you bazza950 and Rushy. Not sure to be able to do a Thursday as I am a trucker and away through the week.
I do go down to the Raven so will keep an eye out for other CTs.
    Hope to get together soon.
    Ride safe.

I think I’ve only ever been there twice on a Thursday as I don’t usually get home until 6.30 so by the time I’ve got changed and ridden over there everybody else is leaving  :152:

The family who rented out the cafe have taken over running it and  i have found them really helpfuli sold a load of snoods -all profits to the NHS - before the epidemic took hold last year and met a lot of bikers there. its a pleasant evening venue in summer on Thursday nights when they offer a late "tea" -currently socially distanced with outside seating. With that and the Ponderosa above Llangollen we are well served in this area!

I called in to the Raven last Sunday, I was surprised how busy (though not crowded) it was.
It would seem that whilst Lynn has had to move on, the cafe hasn't lost any of its popularity.
    Trading on her reputation?

Surprised how much attention the CT got.  :002:

Like most people who live next door to an "attraction" I dont go there often-its a useful meeting place as i live in Whixall -"the land that time forgot".we have 100 miles of roads around the mosses ( an upturned peat bog ,SSSI, with strange wild creatures) and the thought is that no road signs makes tourists stay away and leave the creatures in peace!
The usual Raven bikers tend me be the sunday blast to the cafe types on road rockets and matching designer leathers -not really anything in common with me.Not surprised they were interested in your bike as its not in their vision ( shoot outs and paint schemes, and will Rossi ride one1)
Let me know if you are coming up next time and we can compare notes etc.As is such we who are "Born to be Mild" i will buy you a cup of (weak) tea!
