Hello all, I just pulled the trigger on an “in crate” 2017 VFR1200X leftover from a high volume dealer 400 miles away. They are adding bags, skid plates and lasers to the front end. I’ll explained below.
Background: I’m old as dirt and have owned motorcycles since I was 13. The vast majority were Honda’s. I’m a Honda guy thru & thru. Cars (NSX, CRZ) Motos, scooters, lawn mowers & generators. I just parted with my ST1300A after a 16 year love affair. This is a tough breakup. Prior to that I had 2 track ready RC51’s, an 02 VFR800 and too many dirt bikes including my first love; CR125 Elsinore that I waited impatiently for 8 months on the wait list while all my buddies were busy riding their Suzuki’s and Yamahas. An eternity for a 14 year old boy. 48 years later, I’m retiring and bugging out to Baja while I still can. I’m planning on decking this bike out and riding it to Tierra Del Fuego and back next year.
