GIVI top case fitment

Just picked up a 16 non-DCT. I would like to put a GIVI monolock topcase on. My question is about the top-plate. Twisted throttle has dedicated plate for $139 and a universal for $50. If you are using the GIVI what would you suggest?

I have universal one fitted, seems to be ok, the only issue I had was that original Givi bolts were too short.
They are standard M6 bolts, which I had to replace with longer ones.
Top box is stable, after 9 months of use is still solid.
What was quite important for me, just in case if I change motorbike in the future, I don't have to spend another circa £100 for another plate.

AZrider, please don’t take offence, but are you sure you want a monoLOCK not a monoKEY.
There is a difference and they’re not interchangeable.
Most cases tend to be monokey.

I would go with the Monokey, they are much more secure and stronger. Monolock was developed for scooters and college kids. I bought a Monokey hardware kit and installed it on an Altrider adventure rack that gives a more secure mounting platform.

You are right, I do need the mono key set up, my bad! Will the universal fit directly on the stock rack?

Don’t know mate, there’s 2 type of bespoke Crosstourer monokey mounts available, plastic and aluminium. Might be worth a look .
