As soon as I buy a new bike and have to change the brake pads, I buy Ferodo sintered pads. They are usually 30-40% cheaper than OEM (Honda) pads and last on average about 12-15K with my riding style.
But what the heck, I changed my worn out OEM pads last August, before I went to Norway and they are now already hitting the worn-out indicator after I did a quick 5K checkup.
I did 2K's in Norway two up with luggage, and probably about 1500 up to this day. No way they should wear out this fast. Back side has 2/3 more meat on them than the front. I never had this much wear with Ferodo, on any bike?
I did notice the brake performance is definitely less powerful than the OEM ones from Honda on the Crosstourer, but I got used to it quickly.
I just bought the OEM pads to replace them because the €30 in price difference is not worth it if I have to change them 3 times more often.
