Thanks for the add.  I live in Phoenix and Show Low Arizona. Phoenix in winter, Show Low in Summer. So am able to ride yearound.  My first experience with v4 was with the 88 Super Magna and 01 VFR.
, so am looking forward to the 1200.  Just bought the bike in Eugene Oregon and wiil fly up there in a month or so to pick it up looking forward to it. meanwhile still have my12 Vstrom 1000 to ride.

Did you buy the bike from one of the dealers in OR advertising on cycle trader?  If so, how did the transaction go and would they come down in price at all?  Seems like at least one dealer there had multiple bikes for sale.

I bought the bike through craigslist, I pretty much buy all of my bikes through CL.  I have a relative in Eugene that checked the bike out before any$ changed hands.  I don’t buy from dealers because 1. The Addons and fees they charge generally dramatically raise the price and 2. In Arizona you don’t pay Sales Tax when buying from a private party.

Thanks, picking up bike on July 4 then riding to Spokane Wa., down to lolo pass, through Yellowstone, over Beartooth pass then down to ouray colo. to million dollar hwy. then home to Show Low AZ via Moab Ut.  I’m thinking that I have overthought this ride.🤯

Well, you will certainly know whether you like the seat by the time you finish getting the bike home!  I can only dream of a ride like that for now.

    Welcome!
