    Help Honda Crosstourer model numbers

OK so my new DCT crosstourer arrived this morning  :046:
Unfortunately it has a clutch lever and a gear lever  -  :156:
I firmly believe I ordered a DCT model (the designation on the form is Honda VFR 1200XJED Crosstourer). I thought the D on the end meant DCT and I am sure that the photos on the dealer's website was of a DCT version.

However they have delivered a manual bike, I'm sure a manual would be OK for many but I specifically wanted a DCT.

Does anyone know what the model number for the current DCT model is please?

Thank you - looks like the order was for a manual version, so the mistake is not they delivered the wrong bike but ordered the wrong bike given I wanted the DCT.
I thought it may have been they plated up the wrong bike- oh dear looks like I will have to make use of the distance selling regs to return it.

This number business is a bit of a nightmare .My 2018 bike (well that was when it was registered ) has a number of VFR 1200 XD-H 1.2 on the invoice ,JH2SC76C7HK101117 chassis number but it seems that these model numbers are a bit vague -given that post 2016 are different to earlier ones -but my 2018 handlebars are different from 2017 ones-or the guards would have fitted. It would be a lot easier if we knew what date the numbers referred to but it was the same on my NC 750 -lots of different number and initials that only meant something to Honda dealers!
hope you get it sorted -what a nightmare!

I think I will, the dealer has spoken to me and they will collect and give a refund- I have not had to mention the distance selling regs yet so I think they are good guys and simply a mistake has been made.

I will have to return the brand new SW Motech crash bars that were just delivered this afternoon unless I find a DCT 1200X very shortly.

I am sure you can find one quickly-and at a discount! I bet by tonight a forum member will give you details of a bargain. I am have a bit of spare time-new, used what colour and spec do you fancy? You dealer should also ciontact his trade mates -again he cant be that busy!
