    Hello,
I just mounted a kit to raise the bike.
3,5cm up at the rear of the bike.
    Fantastic!

Where did you ordered the kit?
I searched for many years, and after a deception with the wilbers kit (witch raised nothing) I found 2 different kit in the mecadata french store.
I think it's the best upgrade i've done to my bike!

Is a Jack-up-Kit just giving you a greater gap between the seat and pegs for a more comfortable ride or is there another reason for fitting these?  :087:

It's all to do with your inside leg measurement.

The gap between the seat and pegs remains the same, in both jack up kits and lowering kits, what changes is the ground clearance.
This is done by altering the angle the swing arm sits at, making the seat either higher or lower.

But then the bike has to be re-levelled, by either raising or lowering the forks in the yokes, in order to keep the geometry of the bike right.

In my case my inside leg measurement meant I could only just reach the floor, so I lowered mine 20mm, which actually made a big difference to my confidence when stopping.
