Is it coming to your country?
« on: December 08, 2011, 02:18:08 AM »
Tell us if your dealer has confirmed to you that Honda themselves have formally confirmed to them that the CrossTourer is coming to your country and when? I.e. Not the dealers gut feeling, or whether they've not heard anything yet, or whether a magazine claims it is/isn't. Ok?!?! :038:

Hopefully it'll be coming to your country sometime soon...

The first pre-orders for the CrossTourer happening these days. The importer says that the first cycle is coming to Norway in February 2012, and they will be delivered in March to customers. It says here that they come in limited numbers at first delivery. As for the Norwegians who want a new bike must book now for a guaranteed delivery to the spring of 2012.
Personally, I think winter should be moved to another location in the world.

I think it's going to be a battle for the first bikes. Honda shops reported already on many orders of Crosstourer. Rumour has it that there will be only 40 bikes in the first delivery. But these are just rumors. The price in Norway is set to 229,900 NOK. There is no equipment, so it will end up at NOK 260,000 with bags, roll bar with lights. What is frightening is that 50% of this tax to the state.

260.000 NOK = 33.717 EUR   :430:

Can you buy Crosstourer in Italy?
Here 14.200 EUR - 15.200 (DCT) EUR here... but, probably from Sept 2012, VAT will increase at 23%. Today is at 21%. So, you must consider 14.500 - 15.500.

I can buy it anywhere in the world. But ....

When I run it across the border, customs fees added only so the price is the same as in Norway.

The only thing I can save money by shopping on the outside of Norway's extra equipment.

First shipment is just stock bike??? Over here first shipment of bikes are always 'speacial'. For AT bikes, often first shipment will come with panniers, skid plate, higher windshield. Price usually not much diff from subsequent shipment which will be stock.

Anyways, congrats Norway riders who have made their orders.....  :031:
