For the second time in three weeks, Motor Cycle News have printed a superb review of our favourite bike. The first, a couple of weeks ago was very good
and the second in this week's paper is truly outstanding
. Well worth a read!

That is not a new review that's just the original review with the dates edited to this year, lazy journalism, but it that very review that convinced me to buy my first Crosstourer in 2014 and what gives it away is it's constant comparison to the VFR1200. That bike ended production in 2017 and I test rode it and it was awful with the DCT transmission it did not suit the bikes powerband.

Gentlemen, the review to which I refer has appeared in this week's MCN as part of a review of the best Honda used buys. I regret that I cannot attach a photo of the review as I am unable to do so since the change of website. I respectfully suggest a trip to your local newsagent.

“...and BMW-rivalling quality“
Doing the Crosstourer a total disservice there I’m afraid, it’s far superior to anything that BMW produce, shame on MCN, but then they do have to keep there advertisers sweet.

on the honda ct v bmw debate here's my tuppence worth. My brother was a "suit" in BMW and a family perk was any bike for £25 a week, new taxed insured -all you had to do was fuel it and when it got to 4000 miles take it back and they gave you another.I gave it a go and had a 650 -silly under my 18 stone- 2 x F800 belt drives -nice but again a bit small- a HP2 ,racer with mirrors that you could see anything out of- and a K1300s rocket ship. The main problem was they weren't like proper bikes -far too "nice" to get dirty . Eventually I said thanks but no thanks and stuck no my own bike that I could modify and get dirty!

I remember a MCN group test where nobody wanted to ride the CT.
Because deep into the text poo-pooing the bike, they told you the front wheel had not been properly balanced. (After getting the sponsors tyres put on)
