Hello folks, does anyone know what the red and black two pin connectors are intended for behind the left hand side panel.

I guess those are from the quarter harness, that's an accessory harness for the OEM heated grips, foglights, alarm and one extra for whatever you need.
Which colors are for what i don't know but if they're not in use and you need it for something you can use it.
If i'm correct there is 1 life wire and the others are all switched over the contact so just check that to be sure.

Hi
I too believed that it was for the factory heated grips. I installed a 12v socket next to the TC switch and plugged into that terminal. The advantage being that it is ignition switch activated so anything plugged in and accidently left on won't flatten the battery.

sounds an ideal place to connect my spotlights to.Question for wiring savvy members-if I use that live feed do I still need to use the fuse/relay fitted on wiring that came with the spots - and as my bike has heated grips (factory fitted) will I have these wires spare anyawy?

If you have the OEM heated grips it explaines the quarter harness.
1 of those connectors is for the OEM aux lights, perfect for not OEM as well.
I don't think a ralay is needed, i don't have one either.

Hello all,
So I have the Highlander spec. with heated grips and spots dealer fitted, and wiring for a satnav mount, but these red and black connector blocks haven't been used for any of those. Is that normal ?
Kind of implies that they are for something else, something specific.
Regards.
Ian

we have been told that the Africa Twin spotlight switch is ideal to fit on the CT in the spare switch hole next to the traction control button; has anyone used that idea and if so,where did you wire into? ideally these red and black connections!
