Best bash plate still available for non DCT model

I just bought a new 2017 VFR1200X non DCT model and would like to get a bash/skid plate.   It looks like the Givi non DCT version is no longer available.  The  SW Motech or H&B are both about $350 after shipping to the USA.  Are there any other options?

    What do you guys recommend?

I haven't done this myself but i gather that modding the alloy bash plates is quite easy as its an alloy plate  so can easily be welded. But I take your point and agree that these should be available - maybe not so common in USA-certainly seem to be advertised here in UK

I purchased a skid plate for my 2017 directly from SW Motech USA at the end of December; total cost was $263.95. Looks like the price is now about 20 bucks more.

This one fits low, so (as I understand it) it will fit either DCT or manual trans (like mine).   When I ordered, the website said (same as now) "available in Germany", but they shipped it from Oregon and I had it less than 2 weeks after ordering. Pretty easy install that keeps all of the existing cowlings in place.

I put the DCT Givi bash plate on my manual because I couldn’t find the manual model. . Works fine. Has an extra notch on right side for DCT is only difference.

You can still purchase the HB plate from MotoMachines, you just have to wait for it if it's not in stock.

I have the silver Tourer, so when I fitted my HB bash plate, which comes, I think, 'powder coated' black,
I also changed the lower cowl pieces on both sides for black ones.
IMO it improved the look, by tidying things up,

I put a Givi on my 17.  Fits well and it has it's fair share of bashes.  Pretty easy to install and certainly protects everything.   It does make oil changes a bit of a pain... but most bash plates do.
