CT is on the finalists list for my next MC.  Started riding over 50 years ago on a Honda and here I am back again.  Going backwards, I have owned: Moto Guzzi Lemans, BMW R80 ST, Ducati 1000 Multistrada, BMW 1100 RSL, BMW R90S, Honda 550 ...etc.

I like build quality, reliability, V4 engineering and performance, the DCT (arthritis in my hands, so DCT will extend my riding years), the shaft drive...all makes for a nice package for a 70 y.o. guy who loves 2LaneBlacktop!

Cheers to all riders...and ride safe brothers and sisters!

Welcome!  I bought my VFR1200X in June and I really like it.  Like you, I’ve been riding a long time.  In fact, looks like we both had Honda CB550’s years ago.  Mine is a manual, but folks on the forum with the DCT really like it.

I'm in South Brooklyn...Estero, Florida.   You guys are everywhere down here (which is a good thing).  My wife and I both thought we would lament the DCT option.  Now, we really don't want to ride without it.   The VFR is fantastic.  I keep on looking to replace it but keep clinging on to it.  I still stand by my mantra that if this is the class you want, once you ride it you'll buy it.   It really is that good.   Best of luck and happy new year!
