    Hi everyone,

    Heres my story.

    Bought a CT from 2012,

Noticed that it was a UK bike, exported to NL,

All looked legit and fine, but i noticed a licenseplate number written in the owners manual.

Looked up, checked the mot sheet, found out that it was mot’d at 30k miles, but my bike is now 30k in kilometer...

Also noticed that trip A and B will reset sfter ignition off. Wont remember the trip.

So i assumed there is been F!@& with the mileage..

Called the seller, and was very generous, i can choose, money back and bike back to seller or he gives me a amount of money back to me due to higher mileage.

I feel sh!@t.. the bike looks so good, drives perfect.

I wonder if someone ever heard this before, and maybe have a solution to get the trip meter memory back, and putting the bike back to its original mileage. I dont think they turned the mileage lower, i think they messed with the mph/kmh figure. On the other hand if i turned the odometer from kmh to mph the mileage go lower.

Excuse me for being anonymous, just got the bike and you never know if someone closes watches with me.

happens a lot, if the price is right high mileage is not a problem. But it is criminal to sel you a bike with tinkered odometer. Dont know how they did it but a honda dealer should be able to tell you the real mileage after a readout. mileage is hidden in several components usually.

I had this with a suzuki -seller hadn't a clue re paperwork  but looking back found high mileage on an old mot.Rang the dealer as assumed it would be logged on the makers computer, maybe on service records.Anyway long story but dealer picked up the bike and full refunds all around - and I only vaguely mentioned Trading Standards!

If they went from miles to kilometres then the reading would read higher and vice versa.

My grandson has just bought a car and the odometer is in kilo meters in the settings and matches the figures on the MOTs
but the figures have been in-putted as miles which if he then resets it to miles it will read lower than the MOT!
It's a conundrum we're not sure how to put right!

Hi Uration, you have a private message!
Looking for a UK imported bike myself, but want to hear your story!

    30.000 miles = 48.280 kilometers
so the odometer should not be set to 30.000 km (60% less)  :087:

The bike i am interested in has now 6.100km, probably that
odo should read 9.816 km....... still a low milage..... :007:

Not related to this but these bikes will do high miles. There is a user on here call LP who has done over 400,000km. My bike is at 39000 miles and rides just as well as when I bought it at 20000. Something to think about if the dealer is offering a decent refund!

    Good luck

    John
