    Reset Check Engine Light

    Hey Everyone,

New user tot he site and new CT owner. I recently purchased a new (but leftover) 2017 VFR1200x standard transmission here in Texas.
I just went over 300 miles last night. While sitting in traffic my orange Engine Light came on.

I have ordered a service manual, but it won't be here for another week. Can someone please tell me how to reset it? I want to reset it and go for a ride and see if it comes back on.

    Thanks

The reset is simple but FredZ is right let them take care of the issue. I have only had my engine light on once in 30k miles and that was self in flicked. I forgot to plug in the MAS flow after some work on the bike.

    Reset procedure.
    Cold engine start.
do not touch the throttle, start bike
let run until operation temp is reached.
    Light should reset

    If not bring to dealer

It is important to no touch the throttle until operation temp is reached. The cooling fan will turn on at that point.
