    Hello Collective,

I have a new CT with the Highlander kit fitted.
It’s been on the road for one month and 1500 miles.

In this time I have found that the nuts from 3 of the 4 retaining bolts have detached themselves, one in the last 150 miles.
Not overly impressed as I use the top case regularly for laptop etc....

Yes, the bike will be returning to the dealer soon for rectification, after Monday’s phone call.

Just a question if anyone has had the same, and your remedies?

Once it’s back I’m thinking copious amounts of thread lock.

Completely off topic.........but how have you averaged 48.8mpg on a Crosstourer?!?      Mine must have a leak in the tank!!!  Doing the sums, your avg mpg would get 360kms to a tank.........I can only get 300 - 320kms (and that's if I try real hard)

I must pop over to Northampton for some lessons.

You are quite lucky, as you spotted it on time.
My one ended up slightly different - https://www.crosstourer.com/index.php/topic,8397.msg79057.html#msg79057

All depends on the ride. Drops around town, but longer runs and testing it is showing 48.8mpg. I usually get the fuel warning light around 170 miles. Pretty pleased with it.

Well, carrier sorted with the dealer today and the bolts replaced.

Looking at the other comments, I will be checking them tomorrow and getting the thread lock out. Assume they have fixed it to manufacture spec and just replaced the bolts. Tomorrow will tell.

Interestingly, the back light appeared loose, which was apparently down to over sized spacers, which they also rectified.
