Pittsburgh 1000 lb Motorcycle Table

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some feedback on Pittsburgh 1000 lb Motorcycle Table by Harbor Freight.  If you have a two car garage with two vehicles, can you accommodate it in the garage?  Is there a way to keep it under your car?  Probably put some rails on the side of the table and park the cars on top of the rails.  This is to increase the ground clearance to avoid damage to the underside of the car.

If you have any such setup, please advise.  Thank you.

Thank you.  You made a good point.

Can you see this picture?  When I opened the box, everything was fully assembled.  In all the videos that I have watched on YouTube, guys are putting on the wheels and bolts.  I had to do nothing except to add the foot pedals.  I called the online customer support.  To them it sounds like a used equipment.  The store gave it to me in a box and says that it is brand new and charged the full price.  If they won't discount, then I will return/replace it.

Disclaimer: What I am writing here is just my personal experience and should not be taken as a recommendation/direction on how to handle this heavy bike on a raised platform.  Please use your own judgement in conducting this task.

See the attached picture.  As we all know, this bike is very heavy when maneuvering it in garage.  So, getting it up on the table is intimidating.  It is necessary to have a wheel stop after the wheel chock otherwise the bike will go past the table and that would be a disaster.

The wheel chock that comes with table is useless in my opinion.  I think it needs an upgraded wheel chock from Harbor Freight which I still need to try.  I also think that extra holes are needed if upgraded wheel chock is in consideration.

I think it is best to put the bike on a center stand.   The bike is quite stable on the center stand.  But I would not leave it on a raised table while on a center stand.  Tie downs are needed to secure the bike with U-bolts that come with the table.  I have not installed them yet.  Once I get the tie down straps, I will install them.  Obviously then the bike will be even more secure and then I would be personally more comfortable to leave it raised overnight.  In the picture the table is not lifted to its maximum height yet.  Also, once the table is up, I release the hydraulic pressure and let it rest on the safety rod.  Hopefully, this will increase the life of the pump.

Without the center stand, I would NOT put my bike on this table.  Again, the current wheel chock is useless.  For me to put this bike on the table without center stand, I would first need to upgrade the wheel chock.  I would also use tie downs.  Both things are mandatory in my opinion.

For me, storing the table on its side is not a problem, and I can manage having it with my other two vehicles and and the bike - all in my garage.

I think its a good addition to my tools and I am keeping it.  It does come with a 90 day return policy.  Let me know if you don't see the attached picture.  I hope this information was helpful.

Just looking at the positioning of the bike, will the bike go far enough forward so the
centre stand isn't sitting on the small floor hatch that allows rear wheel removal?

If you want access to that hatch, then the bike needs to be in wheel chock and tied down as well.  Following are my steps.
1.  I pull the bike all the way to the front end.
2.  Center stand is brought down.
3.  I put the bike on the stand.
By the third step, the bike is out of the wheel chock and bike slides a little back.

I can give it another try for you and let you know.  By the way, I have seen several YouTube videos where people are using an upgraded wheel chock.  It shouldn't be a big deal to install it.  Checkout this video, this guy is using the current wheel chock.

NOTE: One person is riding the bike on the table and the other one is tying it down.  So this could work with the current wheel chock if you have two people.  I just don't have the tie downs at the moment.  Also, I do everything on my own.  I brought the table to my home in a pickup, brought it down on the ground, and assembled everything on my own.
