2 inch Rox risers
on: September 22, 2020, 12:45:16 AM
I just installed 2 inch Rox Risers. I really like them - towards me and a little up = perfect for me.  I’m nervous as I just hand tugged all the Lines/wiring and installed. Pseudo throttle cable is Tight when I turn full lock.  Same for my clutch.  I have rode about 3 miles since installing and everything starts/stops and shifts just fine.  Question: am I missing something or is this simple upgrade that easy?

I was told when I bought them I really need to unhook everything coming off the bars, install the risers and zip tie everything post riser install.

That's the trick.  Remove all the cable brackets and zip tie them back together.  It is still pretty tight though.

I went back and removed the brackets holding the brake line and ignition wiring then one clamp and one zip tie later It’s done.  This handle bar position is excellent for the way I’m on the bike.  Thanks for posting as I was told that everything hand to be removed, repositioned and reattached.  I was just paranoid that is it was soooo easy.

Installed brackets made by Japanese company called Zeta. 20 mm higher and moved towards me approx 20 mm.
Did not have to adjust any cables or clips.

That's the trick what risers?  2" are 50mm, that's a fair amount.  I had 25mm on it originally and the were easy.

2” Riser can cause throttle cable rub and wears even if the cable stays are removed.
Most notable on far left steer.
The rub occurs when the bottom edge of the upper triple clamp rubs on the cable.
See photos with yellow showing contact point and wear.
A riser with any pull back can make the contact point worse.
