I know that probably won’t mean to much to you if you born after 1975!

So I have been out exploring the annoying squeak that has plagued my bike since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.  Up she went on to the centre stand again when this falls out from between the stand and exhaust.....

Now it’s either a really important part of the bike, something left in at the service it had (?) at the dealers from collection a couple of weeks back or my preferred option the missing part of the flux capacitor from the DeLorean!

Certainly looks foreign to the bike......  (I’m not talking about my foot, in there for size comparison (UK 10.5) )

Thats a thingamagigger from the whatchamacallit. You pick them up for free on back roads. Its actually a good thing you found it before it found a wheel and spokes.

Jeeez. How on earth did that get there? At least you found it. I suppose the exhaust pipes do snake about underneath a bit, it must have been flicked up and got wedged at some point. A couple of years ago I was driving down a lane near home and a pheasant ran out on me, I jammed on the brakes (nothing behind) to avoid the creature. I thought I'd run it over TBH. So carried on. About 15 minutes later I decided to fill up with diesel and pulled over to the garage forecourt. Got out, filled up and walked to the booth to pay. Casually turned to my car to get the pump number and there was a pheasant sitting inside my lower grill opening, looking at me. I went over and leant down to scoop the bird out, it shook itself and walked off sharpish. Seemed fine. No idea how it survived but it did. I was pleased. Amazing what you can pick up ......

I think I’d have rather had the tent pole (or whatever it is) rather than the bird.... they scare the hell out of me!
