Hi all. New to this forum and newish to the CT so forgive my ignorance. Has anyone installed a cockpit mounted USB charger? I want to access a switched live or unused connector already in the loom. Hope this makes sense
Any help?

This is what i've done.
The 12V is gone and is replaced with a voltage display. These are switched and under the buddyseat i have a 12V plus USB directly on the battery but the USB has it's own switch to prevent draining of the battery.

Who ever had the bike before me had fitted fog lights using the accessory lead.
This lead provides switched power which made the wiring of a sat nav simple.
I used the same feed to connect my USB socket as it will be used to keep my phone charged while touring.
The USB I used has a battery voltage monitor on it, so for this reason, I tucked it out of the way so it wouldn't be a distraction.

I installed a neat unit from eBay with a 12V socket and two USB ports on to the Sat Nav Bracket, wired direct to battery. I plug my GoPro into the USB supply as the battery runs out after a couple of hours.
