FOBO Bike 2 Tire Pressure Monitor/App

I didn’t know a tire pressure monitoring system for motorcycles was “a thing” until I saw the recent Ultimate Motorcycling article recommending the FOBO Bike 2 product that monitors your tire pressure every 15 seconds and sends pressure data and low pressure warning alerts to an app on your phone via Bluetooth.
Is it just me or is checking your air pressure regularly with a pressure gauge now becoming a quaint practice?
Anyone using FOBO Bike 2 and think it’s worth the price?

i had one similar, but took it off as i was advised that the rubber tyre valves can in some cases split with the force of the wheel turning when fitted with the monitor. the valves need to metal. not sure if its true, but not risking it.

Yes on the metal stems. Good quality tire pressure system makers recommend them. I've used the Doran system with good results and it checks for slow leak and alerts you to that.
TPMS are nice, checking pressure is so simple. Lots of new bikes are coming with them standard or available as options.
