I have ridden the DCT version in both D mode (Daily Riding or Standard) and the S mode (Sport).  Even though the S mode is aggressive/sporty/fun, I am okay with the D mode.  This bike has so much power, no matter which mode I am in, I am pleased.  I have also added a throttle lock that really helps.  I am enjoying it.

Yep. That's a good strategy.  If I am on a long tour on a highway, D would be perfect.  For overtaking and climbing hill, S is better.
