I say chaps, does anyone know about different versions of the DCT system on the various bikes?
Someone, who has a pal at Honda dealership in Letchworth, was telling me that there's a Mk2 version in later bikes - never heard of that one!

    I say old chap,
Yes there was an update/ remap to the DCT system to smooth it out during the life of the CT.I don't think the mechanics changed, only the software. Some of the DCT gents on here will explain in more detail.

Up until 2016 (i think) DCT bikes had "D" and "S" mode, 2016 (True 2016 models, not bikes registered 2016) had "D", and 3 "S" modes. I may be wrong but the models with the 3 "S" modes will also have the screen that adjust with a lever.

    Thanks for the insight gents.

    I don't own one,(yet),but I'm planning a test ride ASAP.

The particular bike I'm looking at has an '18 plate so it should be well into the later operating system.

I rode a DCT NC 750 a few months ago but nothing since.

Does anyone have any hints about riding the 1200 DCT Highlander for the first time?

I'm abt 6'3" and used to large-ish bikes - MT-o1, CBF1000, 660 Tenere etc, though my regular commuter when I'm ACTUALLY GOING to work is my faultless '08 plate CBF500.

Thanks up front for any more insights.

Yes, there are two types fitted.
You can tell if you have the latest version by the number of 'Sport' choices in the auto mode. If it has three it is the latest version for a CT.
There is also a new mark 3 available on the latest Africa Twin, and I think the Goldwing, but not the CT. This has a modification to reduce the chance of changes mid-corner.
